Your Tennessee Vols defeated the Florida Gators 65-54 on Senior Day to clinch a four seed and double bye in the SEC Tournament. The Vols trailed for most of the first half, going into the half trailing by 5 following a mini run. Then, in the second half following a scrum for the ball Vescovi recovered it and called a time out which led to what was at one time a 30-10 run for the Vols.

Senior John Fulkerson led the way in scoring for the Vols with 14 points on 6/10 shooting, he also grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 7 assists. The other senior, Yves Pons struggled from the field only going 2-8 for 5 points, but he grabbed all eight of his rebounds in the second half as well as a monster block that led to a transition bucket for the Vols Victor Bailey Jr threw in 14 points on 5/11 from the field, and Josiah James was one bucket from a double double finishing with 8 points on 3-8 , 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block.

The image of John Fulkerson walking off the court with tears in his eyes would make a stone heart turn to flesh. Thank you Fulkerson and Pons for four years of fun. If you decide to come back, you will be welcomed with open arms. If you decide your time on Rocky Top is done, we wish you the best and you will be a Vol For Life.

The Vols play Friday in the SEC tournament with exact time and opponent TBD.
