This is going to be a very football heavy RTT this week. Let’s get to it.

The Vols landed Mississippi State transfer wide receiver Javonta Payton. Payton was a 3 star out of highschool and chose MS over Tennessee and Ole Miss. Playing a pass heavy offense like Leach’s, Payton should have no trouble getting acquainted with Josh Heupel’s offense. Last year at MS Payton hauled in 19 catches for 225 yard and a touchdown, giving him an 11.8 yards per catch average.

The Vols landed a 2022 recruit from Ohio in 3 star tight end Brody Foley. Foley chose the Vols over Indiana, Arkansas, Bowling Green, and Auburn.

Henry To’o To’o finally made his decision public when he announced he would be transferring to…. Alabama. I won’t go any further into that.

Tennessee landed another D1 transfer, which for this roster is huge… DT Da’jon Terry from Kansas announced he would be transferring to Tennessee.. Terry is a literally huge get. Standing at 6-4 320. Terry chose the JayHawks over Colorado, Jackson State, Miss State Valley,and North Alabama.

In baseball the Vols completed the sweep of the Missouri Tigers and move on to a huge series against #1 Arkansas. Tennessee announced that the game will allow 100% capacity for the weekend.

The Tennessee cheer team won the 2021 D1A Game Day championship, bringing a national championship to Rocky Top!
