Checking in on Keon and Jaden

With the NBA playoffs underway, we are that much closer to the NBA Draft, so I figured we would check in on Keon Johnson and Jaden Springer, to see exactly where they are currently mocked and how I think they could help the team they are mocked to.

The newest mock from NBC has Keon Johnson going #7 in the first round to the Toronto Raptors. Johnson would join Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, and Gary Trent Jr. in the back court. Johnson would probably be the Raptors most athletic defender on day one, and could possibly grow into a starter alongside Lowry if he is still around. This would be a good fit.

The same NBC mock has Jaden Springer going #15 to the Washington Wizards. As things stand Springer would join Russell Westbrook, Bradley Beal, and Deni Avdija. This is one that I have a hard time understanding. Unless they believe Russell Westbrook or Bradley Beal could be traded, I don’t see how Springer would fit in here.
